Objectives of Pamoja Imara

The PAMOJA IMARA Humanitarian support platform was launched on Tuesday 14th April 2020 during the first steering committee meeting that was held virtually and attended by committee members representing various sectors and partners.

  • To create a long term platform on collaboration and information sharing for the multi-sectoral forum and humanitarian organizations in Kenya to have a shared vision and united in purpose. The aim is to complement each other and not compete.

  • To create a platform for humanitarian engagement with the National Government, County Government and Development Partners on Kenya’s Humanitarian policies and strategies.Create a credible platform for inviting various new International partners to join Kenya’s humanitarian programmes.

  • Develop programmes for sustainability to migrate Kenyans from humanitarian support to self-support and reliance. MOVING PEOPLE FROM AID TO SELF RELIANCE roadmap.

Engagement on the BBI process where the Forum submitted detailed mulit sectoral proposals, both written and verbal, to the BBI Task Force Committee.


COVID-19 response has been identified as a key action area under the banner of PAMOJA IMARA


The outcome of COVID-19 will leave a huge negative National impact on the country’s economic, social and political agendas. The Multisectoral Forum, taking into account that the COVID-19 pandemic will either end or be managed in the next few month, has started developing a proposal for NATIONAL REGENERATION.
